All the Apple developer sites have that post-it note saying "We’ll be back soon"
I’m just glad they’re finally fixing all this iCloud stuff that’s hard to explain to people.
"Why do my notes sync to email? Why are my to-dos in iCal?"

I’ve looked for a few days now and I’d like to know if anyone happens to know if there is a free, or maybe just a small fee, software for file keeping on kids/employees? If not free, something that is cheap.
Check Open source!
There’s a list on Wikipedia, I have the URL but the OT gods deem that I am unable to post links. Its not hard to find, just wiki open source, and at the bottom of the article there should be "see: bla bla bla" and a link to a list to open source software.

I want to make a SSD boot drive. I’m planning to get two identical drives, put them in a 2 2.5" to 3.5" case then use Disk Utility to make them into a striped RAID. This is correct right?
I will also have to buy a cabinet to hold some extra HDDs connected externally via eSATA (already have that card).
That should be the best cost/performance ratio improvement I can do now.
I’m not sure what a striped RAID is, but I have an SSD in my mac pro. I got the adapter from OWC and it works great.

So I have two HDDs in my tower. I have XP installed on my c: drive and Win7 on my J:.
Last night I decided to move all of my media files from my c: to my j:. So I boot into Win7 and start moving files. Once I’m done, I use CCleaner’s Drive Wiper tool to do a 35x writeover. The ETA was 4 days, so 1% in I cancel and attempt to start over with a 1x writeover process. It gives me an error, something along the lines of not being able to format the drive anymore. I look around the internet for a little bit, and then restart my computer.

I’ve had such good luck with computer hardware the past few years that I am really thinking about tempting the refurb fate here..
where do you typically buy laptops? I don’t really know where else to look
Refurb equipment is not necessarily bad, especially for certain equipment that lasts a lot longer, like switches. Generally, I would not recommend things like refurb HDs or laptops, though, since they have a higher risk of failure, but it certainly an option if you’re not going to be using it heavily and/or planning on using it as a stopgap.
