You don’t need a DSLR for casual camera use. Look into the Canon A640, it’s a great camera for point and shoot and for a bit of custimization:

That’s what I have. I’m looking to upgrade though.
yeah, why bother mentioning you need a 10MP camera? pixel count doesn’t even matter anymore unless you are trying to blow up a very small piece of the picture. i’d worry more about the lens and such.
Because 9.8 just isn’t enough.
